Terenure Village brings home the prize
BEST URBAN VILLAGE SOUTH EAST DUBLIN
Success for I Love Terenure
I Love Terenure 2030 has won BEST URBAN VILLAGE SOUTH EAST DUBLIN at the recent award ceremony in DCC.
This is an exceptional award to win, all credit to the Terenure Tidy Towns for their relentless dedication on keeping the village immaculate. Also a very special thanks to the Terenure Traders whom agreed to contribute to the hanging baskets again this year, all their efforts paid off. Some traders went even further and created their own display.
A special thanks goes out to Eoin Bedford and Fiona Shiels for all their efforts getting the Traders excited and motivated to agree to install the watering systems and the baskets.
Many Many thanks to Rob Chester DCC for all his efforts to keep us motivated and all the help he gives us through-out the year. Thanks Rob.
Another special mention to the shops on Fortfield Park, they are not part of the DCC boundary, they sit on the SDCC remit. On saying that we are very proud to have them as part of Terenure and congratulate them on their massive efforts this year with the help of John Ryan to get every shop looking like the garden of Babylon. Well done! We consider you a big part of this award.
Some other awards received last night; Terenure Office Supplies collected a Special Merit Award for their wonderful shop.
Three of our residents associations’ also picked up Special Merit Award, well done for keeping your area in such good condition all year round.
Onwards and upward for 2017! Lets hope Terenure does well in the All Over Dublin 2016 Awards at the end of the month in Croke Park.
Best regards and thank you all very much again.
